Artificial intelligence (AI) has now penetrated into every aspect of our lives, and AI has even surpassed humans in some fields (e.g. chess, medical diagnosis, etc.). But can AI recognize, understand and react to emotions accordingly just like humans do? Our project attempts to make AI understand emotions better through interdisciplinary collaboration, and thus helping us human beings to better understand ourselves and solve emotional problems for people’s emotional wellbeing.
About Us
We are a group of multi-disciplinary researchers working on the emotional intelligence to improve understanding of the significance of emotions in the context of interactions and collaborations. We are based at the Center for Machine Vision and Signal Analysis (CMVS), University of Oulu.
